I am so excited to have my first sensory table this year! Now to fill it. I'm starting with making some rice to fill it with.
I can't believe how easy this was. I've made colored rice before and it was very time consuming and not very vibrant. You will want to switch to this method!!
- Put rice in a large ziplock bag and add a large dollop of tempera paint!
- Seal and work the paint through the rice.
- Pour onto a pan to dry. It didn't take very long! What great colors! (I added a piece of wax paper onto the pan but it wasn't necessary. It did help with picking up the rice and using it like a funnel.)
Now onto other colors!!!
