I had this one. It was good, but is not meant for overuse at all. And, it's battery powered, and I was constantly replacing the batteries. I have the Exacto School Pro heavy duty electric pencil sharpener and it has worked great for me for 2 years!

Go Fourth! With Mrs. Owens
If this is the one that takes the pencil in by itself...I agree it isn't for over use. It was AWESOME as far as sharpening...but then it died.

First Grade Blue SKies
I used the electric ipoint and really liked it, but it did break down. It didn't last an entire school year. The Exacto is a nice sharpener. I find it so hard to find a really good one. I've tried the ipoint more than once and had problems every time with it giving out or the pencil lead getting stuck.

The Teacher's Jungle
I'm going to stay away from the ipoint. The Exacto is the same price and can be plugged in. I would have liked it to last more than three years though!
