Get Moving Monday

Our school is working on making healthier teachers and healthier students!  We started the Biggest Losers for Teachers - We call it the 6 Traits of Fitness.  We have 6 areas to work on: water, motivation, accountability, exercise, food and for the life of me I can't remember the 6th one!

 In order to promote a healthy lifestyle, two Mondays each month will be “Get Movin’ Mondays”. In our classroom we will be doing 20-30 minutes of physical activity and discussing what we brought for snack and why it’s healthy. In support of “Get Movin’ Mondays” administration has approved that the whole school may wear sweat pants on these days.  Check out my friends working out!  I was doing it too.  We went on this website:  You have to sign up and then there are free videos and more.  I put the video on the Promethean.  They had a blast and I got a sweat going too.  They've been asking to do it again!!

  1. I finally set up an account with Adventure to Fitness. My class is going to LOVE it! I also love your school's Get Movin Monday idea and the Biggest Loser for Teachers. I may ask around and see if my school would like to try these.
