New Student Today

How hard for a little firstie to move at this time of year!  It's also hard on the teacher!  My class loves having a new student!  One of the things that helped me out is having a move in kit.

I store everything in a book box.  In the past I've also used a ziploc bag in the past.

• Take Home Folder - Student and Parent Handbook, Information Sheets for Parents to fill out
• Math Workbook
• Handwriting Workbook (not pictured - I ran out)
• Calendar Folder and D.O.L.  (not pictured - she was using it)
• Spelling Dictionary
• Writing Composition Notebook
• Phonics Phone
• Desk Plates
• Locker Tags
• Name tags for behavior board, Star Student board, Math Stations, Job Board, Book Box
• Sharpened pencil

Keep this idea tucked away for next year when you're putting all the materials out at the beginning of the year!!
